As a pianist and keyboards player I’ve been joining local bands performing different genres (pop, latin, fusion, contemporary jazz) since the mid ‘90 in the Venice (Italy) area.
I had the chance to be featured in many festivals (Ubi Jazz, Veneto Jazz, Venice Jazz Festival among others) and local venues.
I published several records, both as a solo artist and as a sideman. A track from my record “Morning” (genre: jazz fusion) has been chosen among many to be featured in the sampler CD sold with the U.S. magazine JAZZIZ (2012). Two years later a track from the record “Home” (genre: contemporary jazz) was featured on another issue of the same magazine.
In 2018 I've published two records, "Memories of the Last Century" (free improvisation, piano four hands, with Arrigo Cappelletti) and "Inside-Out" (free improvisation, solo piano): both had excellent reviews in specialized magazines.
In 2002 I had a scholarship to attend the Berklee Summer School at Umbria Jazz (Perugia, Italy) having the chance to study with teachers from the Berklee Jazz faculty (Larry Monroe, Mark White, Jeff Stout, etc.). In March 2016 I graduated summa cum laude in Jazz Piano at the Conservatory of Venice and received the Peggy Guetta Finzi grant, given for the first time to Jazz students of the Conservatory.
Since 2012 I’ve been composing music for video productions and commercials; more recently I’ve been writing and producing several soundtracks for short movies and videogames (UK, France, Italy).

My students say it best
In traveling to Italy this summer, I did not want to be away from the piano too long. In fact, I thought it would be fun to have a lesson. Pietro and I met in his studio for a two hour lesson near the Rialto Bridge. Pietro's English is fabulous and his ability to explain complex concepts in simple, workable terms was more than helpful. Pietro is one of those teachers that just wants to help and puts in the effort and extra time to make sure that you get your money's worth.Wayne B, Sacramento, CA
I spent one week in Venice and during this short period of time I took two piano lessons. I enjoyed these lessons very much because Pietro's explanations are clear and precise, his teaching method is really focused. He showed me how to improve my level step by step with practical exercises. He is a great teacher and also a great musician.Nora T, Hungary
I moved to Italy from Ireland for about a year and was looking for a Jazz teacher. I came across Pietro and he taught me for about 7 months. He was a great teacher with clearly a lot of experience. I've had jazz teachers at home in Ireland but Pietro has been by far the best i've found! He explains everything in an understandable manner and gives you practical exercises and ideas to work on to help your playing at any level!! I definitely recommend him.Shane M, Ireland
